Despite of all the Circumstantial evidences against the convict, Rahul Pandhi,
The System tried to write of the case as abetment to suicide because of which Rahul Pandhi was granted Bail and he came out of the Jail in no time. Aanchal’s body was found at their apartment in the Pacific Hills, Dehradun. The case was registered on the night of murder at the Rajpur Police station, Dehradun.
The case was initially filed under IPC section 302, i.e. Murder which was later changed by the Police to IPC Section 306, Abetment to suicide. The System came under lot of pressure and overlooked the Evidences provided by the Kohli family.
The Family and friends of Aanchal Pandhi had Strong reasons to believe that Aanchal can not commit Suicide and they did not give up. They raised their voices to get justice for Aanchal.
The Case was soon transferred from the District court to the Nainital High Court because at the District Court the Evidences were portrayed in a different manner. The Family demanded for CBI Enquiry for the case. The Family struggled for months and in Protest has Organized several Peace Gatherings and Candle March.
